Granuaile's Iron Necklace

The teardrop iron amulet is worn by Granuaile and the Morrigan in Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid Chronicles series. Granuaile's Iron Necklace is one of four looped pendants forged by Goibhniu in Tír na nÓg from a cold iron meteorite. The amulet, which is hung on a gold chain, was given to Granuaile by Atticus. The iron amulet provides protection from Fae magic, infernal hexes, several forms of old craft from Europe and Kabbalistic spells. Eventually, with the help of an iron elemental, the cold iron amulet will be bound to Granuaile's aura, further protecting her from most forms of magic and making her an Iron Druid like Atticus.

Details: The iron amulet is solid iron and measures 47.7 mm long, 12.5 mm wide and 12.5 mm thick. The bail measures 4.3 mm wide. Granuaile's amulet weighs 21 grams.

Note: Prolonged exposure to water or moisture will cause iron to rust. Rust can be removed from your iron pendant by rubbing it with cloth dipped in any form of vegetable oil.
